Activity Level:  Maggie is a very calm girl who desperately wants affection and approval. She likes going on walks and will do anything to please her person. She is always willing cuddle. Her favorite place is curled up by the fire, your feet, or lap. She is a lap dog in every sense of the word. She loves peanut butter bones and treats; she is happy to entertain herself or take naps during the day. She is very low-energy and happy to be a couch potato.

Fence:  Maggie prefers to be inside with her humans but will go outside for bathroom breaks in the fenced in yard. She knows a good thing, so she never strays very far from her people and comes back in immediately with minimal prompting/already waiting at the door to come in. She is lower energy so could be leash walk only and is easy on the leash for slow to medium speed walks.

Behavior:  Maggie is a happy friendly girl who is a good combination of outgoing but very sweet, gentle, and well mannered. She is taking cues from her other siblings that the house is a safe environment where she can relax, so she sprawls out on the dogs beds. She likes brushing, tolerates baths, and she will allow her nails to be trimmed.  She rides great in vehicles. She does like to eat her food alone and take her time as she eats, but does not exhibit signs of resource guarding. She likes to grumble and tell you how she is feeling throughout the day, but does not howl or bark except when she wants to come in from bathroom breaks. She is one of the happiest dogs I have ever met and very grateful, her tail wags all day.

Medical History:  Healthy, UTD on vaccinations, neutered, on HWP preventative and has a microchip. She is older so shows her age through her movements, but has a clean bill of health.

Foster Comments: Maggie is a polite and gentle lady. She is looking to spend her golden years with someone who wants a companion. She is very Velcro and wants to spend every minute with her people; she maintains a line of sight for where her people are so she is never far. Maggie is very social with her other brothers and ignores the cat. She does not jump and her manners for taking treats are excellent. She is happy to snuggle on the couch in your lap, but needs a lift to get up. She currently lives with two other dogs and cat. She is still learning basic commands, but very gentle when taking treats. She is not a hunting dog and does not exhibit prey drive.
