JOHNNY “RINGO”

JOHNNY “RINGO” AB#19-060-10 – M, 3 Months

Foster dog name: Johnny “Ringo”

Gender: M

Age: puppy  (DOB 3/11/19)

Size/Weight: 20lbs currently (vet estimates 50lbs when fully grown)

Color:  White with black ticking

Breed: English Setter mother / possible Pointer father

Socialization/training: Ringo has been around our resident dogs and resident cat. He has tried to make friends with our cat, but our cat isn’t interested. He loves treats and is very treat motivated.

Good with Children: yes

Good with Dogs: yes

Good with Cats: yes

House trained: not completely, he will not soil his crate over night and we let him out first thing in the morning and frequently throughout the day since I work from home. He get lots of time outside to run and play. He does still have accidents in the house from time to time. We are working on bell training so that he will ring a bell on the door when he wants to go out.

Crate trained: yes, overnight and for short periods of time throughout the day

Leash trained: working on it

Activity Level:   very playful, but laid back

Fence:  A fence would be best for him to be safe and able to explore with supervision.

Behavior: Ringo loves to hang out, play with our young female setter and run around outside with her.

Medical History: up to date on all vaccines, Seresto collar, heartworm, flea & tick preventative, dewormed, micro-chipped. Will need to be neutered at a later date in his forever home.

Foster Comments: Ringo is a great pup. He follows the resident dogs around and loves to play. He loves to chew on sticks and toys. He seems very trainable and knows “sit” and “come here” (which he responds to most of the time). Ringo also loves to cuddle on the couch and get his belly rubbed when we are having our morning coffee or watching television at night. He is submissive to our older dogs and will roll on his back and show is tummy, but he will also play with them as well.  He would do great in a home where his people work from home and can hang out with him and he has at least one other dog that likes to play.
