Behavior: Cuddly couch potato, separation anxiety but does great in her crate. Very birdy. Fearful of new things/change. Likes her food.

Activity Level: low to moderate. She enjoys going outside and “hunt” birds but loves being on the couch with her foster family more.

Fence: Fence is highly recommended. She needs space to hunt sparrows

Medical History: She came into rescue with a bad knee so she has had surgery on her back left knee.  The rehab on that leg will take time since she was not using the leg at all and we are working on building her muscle mass back up. Otherwise Harper is a healthy girl. Spayed, UTD on vaccines and heartworm negative. On flea & Heartworm preventative.

Foster Comments: What can we say about Harper, WE LOVE HER! Harper is a very happy & gentle soul that can be fearful at times.  Her response to things that frighten her is to run. She doesn’t do well in situations where there is a lot of chaos; we are working on socializing her more.  Harper is fearful of kids; they just move too fast for her. She loves playing with her canine foster siblings or just hanging out on the couch with the cats. Harper is very attached to her foster mom, and spends a lot of time running from room to room looking for her if she loses track of her. To protect the screens windows & Harper, we never leave the house without crating her. We do think that once her leg is back in shape, she will be more active.  We believe she will enjoy going on short hikes and walks. She just seems to enjoy anything that involves being with her foster family. It was reported to rescue that Harper didn’t make a good hunting dog so Harper will only be adopted out as a companion/family member.

HARPER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TRAVEL UNTIL SHE RECEIVES POST SURGERY CLEARANCE FROM HER VET. Her final laser therapy is scheduled for 6/23/2018
