Good with Children: Unknown Mazie can be hyper so I would say no small children. She just wants to play.
Good with Dogs: She is to some degree. She plays VERY rough. Mazie needs to be an only dog because she resources guards whatever she finds. She does NOT resource guard with her humans.
Good with Cats: After a while she wants to play with the cats but they do not understand that.
House trained: Yes, she goes and scratches on the door when she wants out and the same when she wants in.
Crate trained: Very much so. Even with the door wide open she chooses her crate her safe zone.
Leash trained: We are working on this. She is a puller on the leash. I suggest a Head harness or a Martingale collar NO REMOTE COLLARS
Activity Level: Mazie has high energy spurts, then she is laid back and just wants to snuggle. Mazie loves to use her feet to play. She jumps a lot while she plays
Fence: 6-foot fence Chain link or Hardwood fence is great for her as this girl can jump. No Invisible fences for this girl. She is healing from her previous owners. No excessive exercise at this time. Mazie needs to get healthy first. She is still skinny so no long leash walks short walks are great.
Behavior: Mazie is all over the board in behavior. She's a little bit timid at first. She can be mouthy, she is playing, not biting.
Mostly she loves to lay on your lap for pets and look at you and say with her eyes why did you stop.
She is learning that it is okay to be a puppy and play. Toys galore around my home and we just found out she likes to de stuff them. Mazie does like to chew on Bones and cow horns and deer antlers. They keep her real busy when she finds them. She is just learning about balls. I have one that makes weird sounds when you roll it across the floor. She has not found the squeaky toys yet. LOL!
Mazie needs Puppy Classes. She is all Puppy and eager to please
Medical History: Maize is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. In her younger years, she had some ear problems. She is fine if you keep them clean.
Foster Comments: Miss Mazie is an amazing puppy. Watching her come out of her shell and just be a puppy makes me laugh. She is very loving yet very amusing, and hyper at times. She is a fast learner. She just wants to be loved and to play. I love it when she is outside and goes potty then she runs back to you then off she goes again to go potty in another spot then she is at the door looking at you like I am done why are you still standing their. She will trick you and let you think she wants to go outside by scratching at the door just to make sure you are paying attention to her. She is just silly. She makes me laugh and melts my heart at the same time.
Mazie has a voice that can be a deep bark up to a high pitch bark depending on what she wants. You will learn she is funny.
