Good with Dogs: Leia gets along with all the dogs in the house although it was not immediate with the other female in the house.
Good with Cats: Leia’s previous home had two cats and she did fine with them.

Leash trained: Yes. She does well on a leash and enjoys going with us for walks.
Behavior: Leia is attentive and likes attention. She is quick to show you her belly for rubs. She is not needy, but enjoys her human’s company. If she were allowed on the furniture in her foster home, she would be there sitting next to her human. Instead she lies by our feet.
Activity Level: She is playful and will run outside, chase a ball (but not return it). She enjoys looking for critters. She loves water.
Fence REQUIRED: A 6 foot non-chain link fence is required. She would probably do fine on an invisible fence. She is known to climb a shorter fence, but has not done so here.
Medical History: Leia is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, on heartworm preventative and wears a Seresto collar for fleas and ticks.
Foster Comments: Leia was an owner surrender for her own safety. Leia used to live next door to chickens and ducks and would scale the 4ft fence to get to them. The neighbors set snares and traps to catch her because she was harming the flock.
Since becoming our foster, she has acclimated very well to our routine. She loves being near her humans and is very attentive to them. She is not allowed on the furniture but would love to sit on the couch and watch tv with you. She sleeps in a dog bed in the master bedroom and loves having a blanket piled on the bed.
On a recent visit to meet Santa, she was pet by lots of strangers and did well. She wished for a family of her very own. If you are looking for a girl that will adore you, but not be right under your feet, who is smart and loves belly rubs, Leia might be the girl for you.
