Foster Comments: Rudy is an incredibly intelligent and playful pup. He is great with everyone he meets. He is trained – sit, stay, place, come etc…and catches on very quickly. At first, he did escape our fence, but we reinforced the bottom so that he could not squeeze out. We discovered he has separation anxiety and was trying to get to us. He is inquisitive and will pull at strings (rugs, towels, blankets) and unravel them. He loves chew toys and destroys most stuffies. He does great with kong balls, peanut butter stuffed bones. He sleeps with his dog brother, Hunter on the sofa at night and normally sleeps from 8-6. He would do best in an active home, preferably with another young dog, someone who can run him every day and be home most of the day. In the crate, he shakes, drools and whimpers. We have avoided it as much as possible because it has added to his anxiety. On medication, he is better when we leave for work (we are gone about 8 hours/day) he is submissive with other dogs. He is a big doll baby and just wants to be loved.
