Good with Cats: NO. NO CATS, BUNNIES, BIRDS, anything that squeaks!
House trained: Doing well, no accidents but not left uncrated when foster leaves the home.

Behavior: Very sweet boy, loves squeaky toys more than food, belly rubs occasionally. Likes to be on his bed with his toy and with person in the room with him. Smart and trainable.
Activity Level: Low energy, wants to go out and potty and come back inside with toys. No countersurfing, not destructive except the occasional toy.
Fence: He is a rare setter and doesn’t like to run. Should be fine with walks, might be good in an apartment but will bark a little when left. Due to prey drive invisible fence might not work. Will go over a 3’ x-pen in search of Mom.
Medical History: heartworm treated, has previously broken a few teeth. Mild skin allergies. Current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.
Foster Comments: Easy keeper, but has some limitations and can be resource guarding from the other dogs. Sweet with people and able to meet and greet other dogs and 99% of the time does well with them in the home. . Does not like intact male dogs. Would not place with small dogs.

Volunteer transport can be arranged in the Continental US within a 1,000 mile distance between adopters & foster home. If interstate transport is provided for your adopted dog, there will be a pass-through charge of $50.00 for the required Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (“Health Certificate”). Typically, we are able to transport your adopted dog to within 2 hours of your home. *Dogs can be adopted outside the 1000 mile transport distance; however, adopters must be willing to either fly their adopted dog, drive to a location within the 1000 mile transport range, or make independent transport arrangements for their adopted dog. Transports to far West states, from Eastern states, may have additional restrictions.
