Breed:  setter/retriever/poodle mix.  She does not seem to shed but be aware that her danders can affect allergies.

Behavior:  Stella enjoys cuddling on a couch and is also attentive to squirrels and birds outside.  

Activity Level:    Playful

Fence:   Stella currently runs in a fenced area but only when supervised because she will climb a 6’ chained link fence if she gets bored (no one throwing a ball or petting her).   When attended, she needs at least a 5’ fence.  She can not be left alone in a fenced area.  She loves to walk on a leash and will need someone who loves to walk and will spend time with her strolling together.   

Medical History:  She is current on rabies and parvo/distemper vaccinations.  heartworm negative.  She is on heartworm preventive medicine and flea/tick prevention. 

Foster Comments:  Stella is very sweet.  She loves squeaky toys and piles them on the couch.  She also loves to run after a ball and bring it back so it can be thrown time after time.   Stella will need time and attention in training her not to venture over fenced areas.

Volunteer transport can be arranged in the Continental US within a 1,000 mile distance between adopters & foster home. Typically, we are able to transport your adopted dog to within 2 hours of your home. *Dogs can be adopted outside the 1000 mile transport distance; however, adopters must be willing to either fly their adopted dog, drive to a location within the 1000 mile transport range, or make independent transport arrangements for their adopted dog.
