Activity Level:  Ophelia is a herding breed probably Border Collie with possibly some English Setter mixed but she’s medium energy.  She is a sweet girl that likes to snuggle, hike, & play with the other dogs. She is super smart & just enjoys being with her human.

Fence:  Ophelia prefers to be inside with her human but will occasionally go out and hang in the yard & wrestle with her 140 lb. foster dog brother.  She isn’t high energy so could be leash walk only.  Daily walk needed since she needs continued socialization since can be a bit leery outside.

Behavior:  Ophelia is a happy friendly girl who is a good combination of outgoing and curious but very sweet, gentle, and well mannered.  She likes brushing and will allow her nails to be trimmed.  She rides great in vehicles.  She can be a bit pushy on getting attention or jump up when she gets excited but she’s a quick learner & just wants to please.  She is afraid of thunder probably since she was a stray in TX so was out in the storms.  She just balls up or hides till they are gone.

Medical History:  Healthy, up to date on shots & preventatives, will be spayed, & microchipped.

Foster Comments:  Ophelia is a super smart girl that found herself homeless in TX.  She is a very sweet gentle girl who enjoys human attention and is good with other dogs.  She has good manners although can be a bit pushy for attention & follows me everywhere.  She is in the house with 4 other dogs & met one on her transport to her foster home without incident.  She loves to go on walks and walks good although we are continuing her leash training since she wants to sniff everything.  She would be a great hiking partner.  Her hair looks like setter but not as long and her face looks more collie.  I work from home and she keeps himself entertained all day with toys, bones, other dogs, and naps.  She immediately wants to make friends with new dogs and people.  Has never shown any aggression with the other 4 dogs in house even with food or bones although she does still eat in her crate.  She doesn’t need to be crated when I leave the house.  She has a super intelligent herding dog personality so very easy to train.  Learned sit, down, & shake in a few days and just wants to please her person & give a snuggle or lick occasionally.  Uses dog door to fenced yard here to go out & potty.
