TANGO AB#18-005-1

Foster dog name:  Tango
Gender: Male
Age: 4-5ish years old
Size/Weight: 45lbs
Color: Red merle
Breed: Australian Shepherd/English Setter mix

Socialization/training: Came to A&B unsocialized, mentally shut down from shelter, no training at all
Good with Children: Maybe very quiet teenagers
Good with Dogs:  Yes
Good with Cats:  Yes, he is afraid of them
House trained: Working on that and doing well
Crate trained: Yes
Leash trained: Yes, walks without pulling but does not know commands

Activity Level: Tango is extremely shy and quiet. He is starting to slowly come out of his shell! It is obvious he has not had any human contact in his life. When we first got him, he was afraid of human touch. He now will let me pet and massage him. He is now making eye contact and will lick my hand!

Fence: I think a fence is a must with Tango. When he is afraid of something he runs. If Tango were to get out of the front door he would run.

Behavior: He is very mild mannered and quiet although he has found his voice and will alert me to movement outside.

Medical History: In good health. Has been treated for heartworms and doing very well.

Foster Comments: Tango is going to need a very quiet, non-active home. He is starting to warm up to me but needs someone to help him build confidence and know what love is. I would rather not have him go to a home with children or overly active dogs. He is going to require a lot of patience and positive obedience training.

Adoption fee: $300.00

Dog Location: Perry, GA
