He is gentle with treats, rides well in the car and loves visiting pet friendly stores. Lewis will play with toys and chew bones. While he may nap mostly on the floor during the day, he will use a dog bed or furniture most often at night now!

Crate trained: yes, only crated when we are away from home but have begun to allow Lewis to be free in the home

Leash trained: good on a leash

Activity Level:  moderately active

Fence: physical fence ideal, with training should be good on IV fencing

Behavior: Shy, sweet boy who is playful and loves being with people. Lewis now enjoys chewing a bone, eating watermelon, getting a belly rub and just being near people. Generally quiet. Lewis enjoys being groomed and allows his nails to be trimmed, ears cleaned and teeth cleaned with ease!

Medical History: Up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention, no significant medical history

Foster Comments: Lewis needed to be hand fed when he first came to us as he had been bullied badly by his brother. He was very emaciated. Lewis now acts like one of the pack, eats very well, loves the daily pack walk and just being in the yard. Took Lewis a little time to trust people as he had few reasons to trust previously. Prey drive is moderately strong and he loves to watch any kind of bird he sees! His point is gorgeous.
