Fence:  He is calm enough he could be leash walk only.

Behavior:  High Tide is a happy, silly, very friendly boy who is a good combination of outgoing and confident but very sweet, gentle, and well mannered.  He likes his human attention, walks, food, occasional romps with the other dogs, baths, brushing, will allow his nails to be trimmed, & doesn’t mind vet.  He rides great in vehicles too.  He is fine with other dogs occasionally he doesn’t want to share his couch spot with the other dogs but no issues just a growl & foster tells him no.

Medical History:  Healthy, neutered, has a few small benign lumps vet checked & missing some teeth. He is UTD on all Vaccinations, on HWP, and is microchipped.

Foster Comments:  High Tide is sweet gentle boy who enjoys human attention.  He is well trained, has good manners with people and other dogs.  He is currently in the house with 5 other dogs.  He likes to go on walks but seems to prefer romping in the yard more.  He is in great shape for a 10 year old with red hair as soft as silk & small white spot on his chest.  He likes to eat, take naps, romp in the yard, & go on walks.  He was submissive to the other dogs when he arrived & has gradually made friends.  He would be fine with kids.  I was told he was a trained champion hunting dog but he doesn’t seem to be interested in birds or animals on our walks, he just likes slow strolling on the walk.  His is very confident, occasionally a bit stubborn if food or treats are involved so he eats in a crate currently.  He was a big help recently in assisting a not so confident scared young foster dog feel more comfortable when he arrived so I call him the Dr Phil Dog.  He was neutered and had a large cyst like lump removed on his rear but it was benign and still has a few smaller lumps but all have been checked by the vet and aren’t an issue.  He’s missing some teeth so I feed him a softer diet & the remaining ones will be cleaned once he gets his current stitches removed.  He is very muscular & healthy for 10 years old so he should have some good years left to live the retired life a champion deserves.
