Foster Comments: Flynn is a very sweet, gentle boy.  He came from an abusive past so needs lots of love and encouragement.

He is wonderful with people and recently started to come to new people he meets to be petted.  Fine with children.  Has not been tested with cats.  He loves other dogs and has tons of fun running and playing with them!  He calms down and will sleep on your lap if you let him.  He sleeps in a crate at night but is also fine being left free in the house.

He does not challenge our 5 foot chain link fence but I have caught him a few times, digging under it. He has not dug enough to get out and doubt if he would.   He does like to dig and we now have a few new holes in our yard but does stop when I tell him no.

He is house trained but if you scare him by reaching for him quickly or if he is startled, he may piddle.  It is more from being scared of things because he may have been an outside dog and still has to adjust to loud noises like the vacuum cleaner.  He was also very scared hearing mower sounds outside the fence.

He will not take but a few steps with a leash on so that needs work.  I put a harness and leash on him and had to carry him outside of the yard but he would not move, kept his tail tucked and shook so I took him back in the yard.

Sometimes you do need to pick him up to take him out or bring him back in the house because he needs to work on trust but there are days that he does awesome!

He will be a great family dog, only dog, playmate for a dog, when he understands that no one will hurt him again and people really can be trusted!
