EMBER

EMBER AB#19 -274- M, 2 Years

Foster dog name:     Ember  A&B#19-274

Gender: M

Age: 2

Size/Weight:    50lbs

Color:  redhead with liver spots

Breed:  English Setter

Socialization/training:  He did have sharing his human issues the 1st couple of days but he does not growl at other dogs anymore

Good with Children:  yes, and he would be great in a house with older kids; the more laps for him the better

Good with Dogs: yes, a buddy would be fine but he would be ok as an only dog as well

Good with Cats: I believe so

House trained: yes

Crate trained: yes, I put him in a crate when I go to work, have to say he didn’t like it in the beginning. Now he goes in by himself.

Leash trained: yes

Activity Level:Playful, needs a walk, loves his human. will do well in a house hold with older children.

Fence: Fence is not required if you are willing to train him to be on a long leash. he is not leaving you. he actually needs to be near his humans. he has severe FOMO (fear of missing out).

Behavior:  Big time cuddler. he needs to be near his humans. if you dont want him sleeping in bed with you, you have your work cut out for you. he has to be touching you or looking at you at all times. he has his sit and stay. needs a basic training class but obviously he is still a pup. he wants to please his human and easily does anything you ask him.

Medical History:   upto date on all vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and on HWP

Foster Comments: he has so much love to give. goof ball he is but a lovable goof is what we call him. he is 50lbs but thinks he is 5lbs. he walks up the sofa like a horse. it is so easy to fall in love with this boy, even when he steals your dinner. if I am too busy to sit next to him he is cuddled up with my pup. what I have learned is the more the merrier. he hates being alone. I had to teach him to respect my clients space when they come to my house. he now knows to sit at a distance when I am working if he wants to stay in the room. easily teachable.
