Activity Level: Alex is a medium energy boy that likes to run around the yard with the other dogs.
Fence: Needs fenced yard since he is still working on not being scared on leash walks.
Behavior: Alex is initially a shy boy but warms up quick once he realizes he’s safe and is very sweet, gentle, and well mannered. He likes his human attention, food, and romps around the yard with the other dogs. He rides good in vehicles too just a bit fearful. He is fine with other dogs & people once he knows they won’t hurt him.
Medical History: Healthy, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots and preventatives
Foster Comments: Alex is sweet gentle boy who enjoys human attention. He has good manners with people and other dogs. He is currently in the house with 5 other dogs. He likes to go on walks but gets scared of any loud noise, so I walk him with the other dogs and gradually increase the walk time. He seems to prefer romping in the yard more. He is in great shape, very muscular, mostly white with liver belton, hair is shorter possibly shaved. He likes treats (still learning to take gently), take naps, and romp in the yard. He was submissive to the other dogs when he arrived & has gradually made friends. He would be fine with calmer quieter kids. He isn’t very interested in birds or animals on walks. He needs continued confidence building, a quieter home, and patient owner(s) willing to work with a fearful dog. I gave him a safe place in a large kennel in the house when he arrived but after about 2 days he started crawling up to me for attention. He was even initially a bit afraid of going out in the yard but after a few days he realized the other dogs wouldn’t hurt him and now he enjoys occasionally barking at the birds with the other dogs.
