Good with Cats: Unknown
House trained: Yes
Crate trained: Yes – will go in willingly with treat motivation
Leash trained: Yes, doesn’t heel, but doesn’t really pull either

Activity Level: Very active and playful. He likes to keep busy by chewing on a toy, retrieving a toy, playing with other dogs, licking your face, arms, legs, etc. He loves attention

Fence: Buddy is very active so a fenced yard would be best.

Medical History: Buddy is neutered, current on vaccines and microchipped.

Foster Comments: Buddy is very playful and seeks to please. He loves chewing on toys and retrieving Kong toys, or other toys that are thrown. He doesn’t always remember to bring it right back to you, but he usually does a pretty good job. He is very inquisitive and always wants to know what you’re doing.

He is a people dog so he likes to be near you – even when he’s playing with another dog. If you sit on the floor with him he will crawl into your lap seeing affection (and he will shower you with kisses).

He sleeps and eats in his crate with no problems. He takes redirection very well in all areas. He has not been allowed on furniture at foster’s house but would love to if given permission. He can occupy himself for periods of time, but would do best in a home with at least one other playful dog. His desire to play with other dogs can be tiresome so it would be best for other dogs in the home to be playful and patient. When other dogs get tired of his attention and they express their annoyance, Buddy reacts well (does not get aggressive) but does not necessarily stop trying to play.

He does not seem interested in birds, squirrels, or other “prey”. He rides well in a crate in a car. Has not been tested in car outside of crate. He likes to wade in kiddie pool. He likes to shred fabric so your home needs to be "puppy proofed" by keeping sheets & blankets out of his reach.
