Gender: Male
Age: 9 months
Size/Weight: 50 lbs
Color: orange/white
Breed: BrittanyPomeranian mix

Socialization/training: Roscoe is a very social, happy and playful boy. He has basic obedience skills and enjoys riding in the car. A reminder to be gentle when taking a treat is needed in a larger group of dogs as Roscoe is so excited he will forget and become grabby to be sure he will get one.

Good with Children: Yes

Good with Dogs: Yes

Good with Cats: Has been curious but would need monitoring.

House trained: Yes, he uses the dog door consistently.

Crate trained: Yes, Roscoe is very good about being kenneled when we are away from home.

Leash trained: Yes. Roscoe goes for an hour+ walk every day.

Activity Level: Moderately active outside playing in the yard. Roscoe loves to play with a ball!

Fence: A physical fence would be helpful due to his age and activity level.

Behavior: Roscoe is generally calm in the house and very playful outside. He loves to play ball, squeak toys and get his belly rubbed. When he first came to foster, Roscoe was a bossy dog. The previous living situation necessitated someone being in charge and Roscoe took on that role. Since being in foster care, he is part of the pack and realizes he does not have to provide the control and structured needed. Clear expectations, adequate exercise and routine will help Roscoe stay relaxed and one of the pack.

Medical History: Roscoe is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and allows hands-on exams without difficulty.

Foster Comments: Roscoe is a funny and goofy dog who loves a good belly rub. His preferred sleeping position is on his back so you can rub that belly should you walk by! He sleeps in a dog bed in his foster parents’ room at night. Roscoe is a gentle soul who loves to play ball and squeak a toy. He often smiles, even in sleep. If you are looking for a well-rounded and funny boy, Roscoe could be your match.
