2010 – 2016

You came into my life when you were ten years old, and somewhere along the way, you stopped being the dog I rescued and became the one who rescued me. You loved cookies, dug too many holes, occasionally delivered questionable gifts from the backyard, and believed there was no better place in the world than right beside the person you loved. Six years was never going to be enough. Thank you for every quiet moment, every laugh, every gentle nudge for one more hug, and every ounce of unconditional love you gave so freely. You made this house a better home, and you made me a better person. I only wish we had longer.
