Age: 5 months (DOB 11/15/17)
Size: 24 pounds
Color: White and Black
Breed: English Setter Mix
Socialization: Styx lives in her foster home with her sister, Clio, and two Brittanys. She loves to play and romp with everyone. She loves her foster brothers almost as much as her own sister.
Good with Children: There are no children in Styx’s foster home, however, she gets along with everyone, including other people and dogs who come to visit. We feel positive she would do well with children, although should be watched with smaller children. She is still a puppy herself.
Good with Dogs: Yes, Styx loves other dogs. She is very friendly and enjoys playing and cuddling with her foster brothers.
Good with Cats: Unknown. There are no cats in Styx’s foster home. With proper introduction, she may do fine. The world (and all the critters in it) is her playground.
House trained: Yes, Styx is house trained. Aside from a couple of accidents during her first days, she goes outside to potty and keeps her crate clean.
Crate trained: Yes. Styx will enter her crate on command and spends her nights there. She also willingly enters her crate when it is time for us to leave the house.
Leash trained: Moderate. Styx has a large backyard and spends her days running and playing. The few times she has been on leash she has not resisted and has learned fairly quickly what is expected of her. We’re confident that with some leash walking, she’ll be a gem.
Activity level: Moderate. As much as Styx loves playing and running in the yard, she settles down quickly when she comes inside. She loves evenings cuddling on the couch with her siblings and foster parents.
Fence: Preferred. Styx has been with us a month. Our fence is 6’ in some areas, 4’ in others. She respects the fence line and is learning her boundaries
Training/Behavior: Styx has been with us for approximately a month and has learned to sit and wait for treats. She comes when called, but not consistently, and responds to a whistle. She is quick to go in her kennel on command and settles down immediately once inside. She will counter surf, given the chance, and loves to steal an occasional shoe, but doesn’t chew or destroy them. The thrill is in the chase! Paper towels and napkins are her favorites.
Medical History: Styx is UTD on all vaccinations and is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. She has not yet been spayed as she is too young.
Adoption Fee: $395.00
