Running in yard

Gender: Male
Age: 3 years
Size/Weight: Medium (45lbs)
Color: Tricolor
Breed: English Setter

Socialization/training: Brady is incredibly interactive and playful, without being overbearing. He loves cuddling with anyone and everyone and frequently shows affection to our other dogs. He is working on basic commands and is a very fast learner.

Good with Children: Yes.
Good with Dogs: Yes.
Good with Cats: Yes.
House trained: Yes.
Crate trained: Yes.
Leash trained: Yes.

Activity level: Playful but also loves to sleep. I have taken him out running/walking with me and he does wonderful. He also enjoys playing fetch, which would be a good thing to do with for a lower-activity level home so that he can still expend energy. He would be great with a mid-level activity home but could easily fit in anywhere from couch potato to running partner.

Fence: Leash walking would be sufficient, so long as it is consistent enough for him to go to the bathroom several times a day and expel some energy. He does well with a hard fence but should be 5-6ft+ as he does climb if not supervised. So far whenever he climbs he just runs to the front door to be let in, but I wouldn't suggest he be left outside alone for any extended period of time. He is not invisible trained, but learns boundaries quickly so would not have an issue.

Behavior: Very people-oriented. He loves attention of any kind and is more of a cuddler than any other setter I've met so far. However, he is not overbearing and will lay at your feet if you are busy. He really is just an excellent dog who loves affirmation from his person. He is a quick learner, likes meeting new people, and enjoys car rides and tv watching.

Medical History: No medical issues whatsoever. He is neutered, up to dat on vaccines, microchipped, and is in excellent health.

Foster Comments: I have had setters since the day I was born and Brady is one of the nicest dogs I've ever met. Of all the hundreds of fosters that have been in my home, no dog has adapted quite so quickly or been as willing to learn as Brady. He is very attentive and will gladly fall asleep in your lap, but is also capable of being active enough to keep up with running and playing. He has great manners, learned house rules quickly, and is a gentleman with other pets. Brady is the dog that greets you at the door and instantly brightens your day. He will give unconditional love and will make you want to love him just as much in return.
