Lily

I am a 10 month old 40 pound Llewelyn English
Setter who loves all dogs, all cats, all children, and all
adults. In fact, each day I celebrate life with my
happy, gentle, sweet natured spirit. I was rescued
from a kill shelter. The people there say that
somebody threw me over the fence at night, and
they discovered me sitting by the door the next
morning. Lucky for me, that A and B rescued me and
Foster Mommy fell in love with me.

Foster Mommy says that I am a little girl with
potential because I am very smart. I love to play with
other dogs. I am easy to walk. I do not pull on the
leash, and I pee outside on command. Already I have
learned to sit and to shake hands. Foster Mommy is
teaching me the “come command”. I have also
learned not to bark. I used to bark a lot, but Foster
Mommy just has to put her finger up to her mouth
and say, “Shhh!”, and I stop barking. You see, I
really am a good girl, and I have therapy dog
potential. I sleep peacefully in my crate for a few
hours every day. However, at night I want to
snuggle up close with my Foster Mommy and Foster
Daddy.

I am alert to the world around me. My eyesight and
sense of smell are acute. I watch people’s faces, and
I know right away whether they are happy with me.
I have adapted to all routines in my foster home, and
each day I have a new surprise for Foster Mommy
during our training sessions. There is nothing that I
can’t do….except I can’t hear like other dogs. Oh, I
hear a few things like jets in the sky, the garage door
opening, sharp claps, deep rumbles or barks, tapping
on metal, but I don’t appear to hear the human
voice. I wish to be adopted by an individual or a
family who will match my gentle and loving
personality and who will cherish me and protect me.
The vet said that I would do well with an
underground fence. I respect the 5 foot fence in my
foster family’s yard, and Foster Mommy always
watches me when we go outside to play.

If you are looking for a happy little girl, a little girl
who will please you, a little girl who will follow you
around the house and worship the ground you walk
on…..then I am your baby. My name is Lily, and
Foster Mommy says that I am perfect just as I am.
