As I sit here writing this story Henry has his head in my lap. He is totally relaxed listening to Vivaldi playing on my laptop. In a few minutes when I get up he will be full of energy and ready to play. Henry has all of the qualities of a great setter. He loves to run and play as well as curl up next to you on the couch and snuggle.
Henry was picked up as a stray in Arkansas. He is up to date on his vaccinations, neutered and micro-chipped. He is in good health and approximately 3 years old. He is a beautiful Setter standing 23 inches at his shoulders and weighing 53 pounds.
I don't know for sure about Henry's life before we met but now that he is here he is a joy to get to know. He does not like loud noises but if you show him what is making the sound he feels better. At first he wanted to eat my cats but now he is content with chasing one up a tree every now and then. He loves to chase birds. He is a little timid with the other dogs around here but they all play well together.
It appears that Henry spent a lot of time by himself probably outside in a pen. Everything seems to be new to him. It has been lots of fun introducing him to my home. Henry is very smart and is learning his manners very quickly.
Henry has been such a joy to get to know. I am amazed everyday what this young fellow can learn. He is learning basic commands very quickly. He loves hot dog bites. Henry is a fantastic dog. I do not have a fenced yard and Henry is very good about staying in the yard. He runs and plays with the other dogs and chases a cat up a tree every now and again. He has no interest in vehicles passing by but is curious about the cows. So far he has made no attempt to chase them.
Henry is a great companion. You would be blessed to have him in your family. Henry would make a wonderful addition to any family.
